We are excited to announce that applications for the April 2026 Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Cohort are now LIVE!

Successful completion of our MA Program would lead to a permanent Full-Time Medical Assistant position within one of our outpatient locations.

(Please Note: Shift and Location can be subject to change).

    Make an Impact!

    The Apprentice is a development role at Main Line Health, aimed at providing talent with hands-on training and experience in healthcare. This role is designed to bridge the gap between education and career by offering practical learning opportunities, skill development, and mentorship. As a Medical Assistant, you will be working collaboratively with the system educator and clinical leads within the practice that you are assigned. Your care and treatment of these patients is an integral part of the Patient Experience. You would be caring for patients by assisting with preparing rooms and patients for their visit while anticipating the needs of the physician. Performing but not limited to, basic labs, EKGs, phlebotomy, BP, dressing changes, etc.

  • At Main Line Health, our Medical Assistants work Monday - Friday, 8 hour day shift with some evening coverage. The locations and shifts available are based on the organizational needs. Candidates must be able to work day and evening shift, if selected for the program.

    Position-Specific Benefits include:

    Program Commitment:

  • Must be able to commit to the 15 week in-person program starting in April
  • 8-hour day shift training, Monday - Friday.
  • Location/Commute can vary. Candidate must be willing to travel based on operational needs of the system
  • Practice locations could be between Montgomery, Chester, Delaware and Philadelphia counties.
  • Classroom days will be held onsite at our Newtown Square, PA location. Attendance is required.
  • Although we try to keep preferences in mind, the Full Time MA Placement upon successful completion of the program will vary based on operational needs of the system.
  • Full Time MA placement could require the candidate to work 1-2 evening shifts a week (until 7/8pm) if the practice requires.
  • Experience:

  • Little to no prior clinical healthcare experience.
  • Exposure to healthcare settings (e.g., volunteer work, internships) is a plus.
  • Education:

  • High School or GED required
  • Actively pursuing healthcare certifications or coursework is preferred
  • Additional education may be required upon graduation of Apprenticeship Program
  • Licensures/Certifications:

  • Additional certification may be required upon graduation of Apprenticeship Program
  • Employee Status: Regular

    Schedule: Full-time

    Pay Range: $16.61 - $25.73
