What you'll own as the Software Engineer Specialist - Payments We are seeking a Software Engineer Specialist to join our team. You will play a pivotal role in designing, building, and maintaining the Settlements & Disbursements platform infrastructure, ensuring it remains robust, secure, scalable, and responsive to the needs of our clients. Architect, build, and maintain cloud-based infrastructure with a focus on reliability, security, and scalability. Design and optimize systems to handle high transactional volume related to settlements and disbursements, ensuring performance at scale. Automate infrastructure deployment and management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure platform services are well-integrated with product requirements. What you'll bring Proven experience in cloud platforms, especially AWS, for managing and scaling infrastructure. Strong knowledge of container orchestration tools, including Kubernetes and Helm, for deployment and scaling. Hands-on experience with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL, to manage data in high-volume applications. Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Pulumi and Terraform for automating deployments. Experience working in high-transactional compute environments with a focus on performance and reliability at scale. Proficiency in at least one programming language (C#, Python, or PHP preferred). Strong understanding of best practices in security, scalability, and high availability. Payments Technology Experience: Proven track record in designing, implementing, or scaling systems in the payments space, including PCI compliance, secure payment gateways, and real-time transaction processing. High-Throughput Systems Expertise: Experience in designing and managing high-performance systems capable of handling millions of transactions daily, ensuring low latency and fault tolerance. Platform Engineering Experience: Strong background in platform engineering with experience in building infrastructure as a product, working on platform APIs, and enabling developer productivity through platform services. It's a bonus if you have Experience working in a fintech or payments-focused environment. Familiarity with other cloud platforms and tools. For this full-time position, the good faith estimated annual salary range upon hire is $127,500.00-$192,525.00. This range reflects what we reasonably expect to offer based on the role's responsibilities, level, and geographic location. The actual starting salary will be determined by a candidate's experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Please note that changes in work location may impact the final offered salary.
