Global Finishing Solutions is looking for a Mechanical Engineer who enjoys solving complex problems, setting the technical bar high, and helping teams build smart, reliable solutions. In this role, you'll guide Engineering and Design teams in applying design standards and code requirements, while serving as a trusted technical voice across the organization. You'll collaborate with Sales, Manufacturing, and external partners to turn customer needs into practical, high-quality designs that actually work in the real world.

What Success looks Like

  • Design, model, and optimize mechanical systems using advanced CAD and engineering tools.
  • Set the technical standard-ensuring designs meet engineering best practices and code requirements.
  • Partner with Sales, Manufacturing, and Operations to turn customer needs into buildable solutions.
  • Solve real-world problems by troubleshooting GFS equipment across design, production, and field environments.
  • Drive cross-functional product development to improve cost, quality, and delivery.
  • Support installations and start-ups with hands-on technical expertise, both remotely and on-site.
  • Interpret and apply IBC, IFC, and NFPA codes with confidence.
  • Innovate through R&D-value-engineer existing products and help launch new ones.
  • Streamline engineering processes to move faster without sacrificing quality.
  • Lead technical reviews from concept through production.
  • Analyze airflow, heating, lighting, and mechanical performance to inform smarter designs.
  • Create code-compliant, customer-focused design concepts that perform in the real world.

Qualifications That Shine

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (or related field) with 0-3 years of experience, or an Associate's degree with 5-10 years of hands-on engineering experience.
  • Solid foundation in core engineering principles and practical application.
  • Ability to execute work independently while following established standards and processes.
  • Strong attention to detail, with a habit of reviewing work to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Proven ability to manage tasks efficiently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Transparent Rewards At GFS, we recognize the dedication behind every role and ensure that our compensation reflects both your impact and our shared success.

Pay Range: $71,365.32 - $89,836.34 per year, based on your experience, skills, and qualifications.

Bonus Eligibility: This position is eligible for an annual individual incentive based on company performance. Maximum bonus amounts may vary depending on role.

Actual compensation will be determined by factors including experience, education, certifications, skill level, and market conditions. For remote or hybrid positions, the listed pay range applies to applicants in the specified location.
