Overview

The Sr. Product Analyst will work on the Operations Applications and Support team on the CDG Platform Solution Program which seeks to enhance the Clean Energy Market Operations (CEMO) business and host provider/third party customer experience through iterative design, delivery and development of the Value Stack Customer Platform and Portal. This independent contributor will have various tasks from vendor to budget management with exposure to support agile process and development with the product owner.

Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities
  • Ownership over a product area which includes translating business needs into features and user stories with clear, actionable functional and non-functional requirements and acceptance criteria in close collaboration with business SMEs, UX/UI designer and technical lead.
  • Assist in creating, refining and prioritizing the product backlog. Ensure backlog items are aligned with product strategy and vision.
  • Execute and track project plans using SAFe agile methodology and Azure DevOps (ADO). These activities will provide experience to manage larger agile work streams as experience and knowledge is developed. Work closely with developers, designers, QA and business stakeholders to support successful delivery.
  • Support a customer-centric culture, taking special interest in meeting the needs of external and internal stakeholders. Plan and conduct discovery and customer research activities with the business users and its customers.
  • Conduct research and analysis to determine business trends, forecasts and benchmarking with utilities and other businesses related to web and mobile application use and development.
  • Assist in monitoring, tracking, and manage risks and issues on initiative, including data analysis of issues for resolution.
  • Assist in procurement activities and managing budget, including tracking vendor invoices and subsequent payments
  • Administrative support for CDG Platform Solution program to support planning efforts and coordination.
  • Provide back-up and coverage on intake and governance process.
  • Preparation of slide decks and regulatory documentation on program initiatives. Strong writing, communication and presentation skills.
  • Support agile product and feature development with growth opportunities to manage features and support delivery independently
  • Perform other related tasks and assignments as required.

Qualifications

Required Education/Experience
  • Associate's Degree with 4 years of work experience or
  • Bachelor's Degree with 3 years of work experience or
  • Master's Degree with 2 years of work experience
Preferred Education/Experience
  • Master's Degree with 2 years of work experience
Relevant Work Experience
  • Proven experience in project management, customer experience management, product management, technology implementation, and full software development lifecycle, required.
  • Skill in Microsoft Office (Excel), Azure DevOps or similar work tracking tools, Oracle BI, and Supply Chain systems, required.
  • Ability to manage budgets and vendors, support agile product teams, and produce formal presentations and documentation for executives and regulatory purposes, required.
  • Knowledge of Customer Operations, Energy Services, and CECONY customer CDG business processes, preferred.
  • Familiarity with various Company and Customer Operations computer systems, preferred.
Licenses and Certifications
  • Driver's License Required
  • Other: Agile Certification, Sales Force Certificates, Product Management Certifications and UX/UI or Product Design Certifications Preferred
Additional Physical Demands
  • The selected candidate will be assigned a System Emergency Assignment (i.e., an emergency response role) and will be expected to work non-business hours during emergencies, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
