Position Summary

The Radiation Oncology Manager provides system level operational development and oversight for the Radiation Oncology program, along with direct supervision of daily clinic operations. The Radiation Oncology Manager is responsible for ensuring that the program and staff maintain ethical, professional, service and regulatory standards. They provide input and participate in program development, policy development, technology selection, unit performance improvement and system-wide Radiation Oncology accreditation. The Manager is technically and clinically competent, adheres to system and program standards and fills in when department needs dictate assistance. This individual is responsible for coaching and mentoring staff, physicians and advance practice providers to successfully practice to the full capability of their role. Manager goals will align closely with those of the AVP Radiation Oncology and local system leadership, while being the present and accountable leader to transform the vision and goals into action. This position requires competency in change management and performance improvement, while possessing basic knowledge for business, revenue cycle, and healthcare operations.

Essential Functions

  • Direct supervision and accountability for ambulatory operations, patient experience, provider and staff engagement, operational benchmarks, adherence to regulatory and patient safety requirements, quality improvement, optimization of clinic workflows and meeting financial targets.

  • Develops and executes service excellence strategies in partnership with AVP, medical director, physicians, advanced practice providers, and clinic staff.

  • Partners with local leadership and service line AVP in developing and managing multiple operational cost center budgets to ensure financial viability.

  • Implements initiatives to support careline and organizational growth.

  • Builds and manages multidiscipline teams promoting employee, physician and advanced practice provider engagement.

  • Partners with the AVP, medical director, physicians, advanced practice providers and nursing leadership to improve quality of care and patient outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiation Therapy

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree or 4 yrs. experience in lieu of degree will be considered

  • Licensed as a Radiation Therapist by ARRT

  • Five years of technical experience in a RTT role required

  • Two years of leadership experience in Radiation Oncology required

  • Consideration may be given to internal applicants not meeting the qualifications

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $123,198.00 - $177,278.00 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
