Job Description




As a Airport Traffic Control Officer in Honolulu, HI, you will serve and safeguard the airport, its facilities, travelers, directing and managing flow of traffic, enforcing security protocals and procedures helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors and staff. Your presence and routine patrols will support a secure environment while you provide outstanding customer service and clear communication. Position Type: Part Time - Afternoon

Pay Rate: $19.23 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $4.30. Premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors and personnel at a government airport location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of terminals, concourses, parking areas, access roads, and perimeter areas; working environments and conditions may vary by location and shift.
  • Monitor access points and restricted areas, assist with wayfinding, and help to deter unauthorized access by observing conditions and reporting concerns per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical calls, fire alarms, and suspicious activity; notify appropriate responders as needed.
  • Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and required documentation, and communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts using approved methods.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Be at least 20 years of age for unarmed roles; 22+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
