Job Description




As a Security Officer - Mobile Patrol in Worcester, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that may help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access points, observe and report unusual activity, and respond to requests with strong customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to identify unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy concerns.
  • Monitor access points and public areas, assist with visitor directions, and/or support staff with badge and credential checks in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations, notifying appropriate personnel, and/or assisting with coordination of response.
  • Complete required shift reports, incident documentation, and patrol logs, and communicate security-related information to Allied Universal supervision and/or site leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
