Job Description




As a Security Officer - Unarmed Mobile Patrol in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to service needs, communicate clearly with tenants and visitors, and document observations with professionalism. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to tenants, employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, service requests, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting details and notifying appropriate contacts.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the commercial property, including common areas, lobbies, corridors, stairwells, loading areas, and parking areas, as applicable to the location.
  • Monitor access points and observe for unusual activity, policy violations, and/or property hazards, helping to deter unwanted activity through high-visibility presence and timely reporting.
  • Complete daily activity logs and incident reports, operate authorized communication systems, and coordinate with building management and/or local responders as directed by post orders.

Minimum Requirements:

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
