Ampcus Inc. is a certified global provider of a broad range of Technology and Business consulting services. We are in search of a highly motivated candidate to join our talented Team. Job Title: IT- Scrum Master. Location: Rocklin, CA. Overview:
  • The IT Enterprise Observability & Monitoring team has need of a Scrum Master.
  • The Scrum Master will be responsible for the concurrent management of one or more projects, with a primary focus of tracking Initiatives, Epics, Stories and Tasks to improve Observability across Network, Infrastructure, and Applications that will be executed in an Agile manner.
  • The Scrum Master guide teams in self-organization, accountability, and team retrospectives.
  • They will support and enforce rules of the scrum process and remove impediments. They will maintain effective metrics and align with the Product Owners to maintain an effective backlog of user stories.
  • The Scrum Master should also have knowledge of Financial Management for Projects.
Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate project status communication to ensure timely updates, blockers, and resource needs.
  • Assist in the organization and facilitation of sprints.
  • Work across the portfolio to promote agile growth and agile best practices.
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, IT Product Specialists, internal stakeholders, and vendors to ensure alignment on strategy and execution of Roadmap and Vision.
  • Communicating status of all projects to stakeholders and management.
  • Plan and orchestrate all activities related to Planning events.
  • Take responsibility for managing dependencies between the Scrum teams and third parties, release managers, or between the Scrum teams.
  • Ensure successful delivery of large impact and/or cross-functional product initiatives.
  • Facilitates discussions that lead to the resolution of project issues and development impediments.
  • Reports project progress to Program Management and executive level stakeholders.
  • Developing and maintaining up-to-date detailed project schedules and work plans.
  • Clearly defining and communicating roles, responsibilities, and expectations for all members of the project team.
  • Monitoring critical project milestones and identifying ways to resolve schedule issues.
  • Gathering, defining, and documenting project requirements.
  • Independently planning all associated work to meet project goals.
  • Obtaining and defining staffing requirements and forming project teams.
  • May act as a team leader and/or coach to developing employees.
  • Ensuring all project team members have the tools and training necessary to perform effectively.
  • Resolving problems of project specific scope within procedural guidelines.
  • Exercising independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance with moderate scope and complexity.
  • Assessing project performance and implementing changes as necessary to ensure the projects remain within specified cost, schedule, scope, and quality objectives.
  • Recording, tracking, and communicating issues, risks, changes, and status reports within a client standard tool.
  • Preparing all project documentation for closure, storage, and possible auditing activities, ensuring technical accuracy.
Qualifications:
  • Demonstrates advanced knowledge and technical competence.
  • Demonstrates independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance with broad scope and high complexity.
  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Experience:
Minimum
  • Experience leading Agile or Hybrid projects.
  • Experience managing one or more moderately and highly complex IT products / software development cycles / projects.
  • Experience working on NERC projects.
  • Experience leading one or more projects with multi-million-dollar budgets.
  • Experience with IT - professional service agreements.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of Agile Software Development Methodology and incremental delivery.
  • Certified Scrum Master.
Desired:
  • Understanding of Client's business, and IT strategies and objectives.
  • Understanding of IT roles and responsibilities at Client.
  • Experience working in a PMO environment as Project Lead or Project Manager for medium to complex projects.
  • Experience managing monitoring tools projects.
  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Business, or equivalent.
