Lead Systems Engineer / Technical Lead- New Orleans, LA Ellumen is a dynamic IT business headquartered in Silver Spring, MD. Ellumen is seeking an experienced Lead Systems Engineer / Technical Lead to support the Navy's MyNavy Human Resources (HR) enterprise. Services include the sustainment, modernization, enhancement, cybersecurity, and operational support of mission-critical HR, manpower, and personnel systems. The Lead Systems Engineer/Technical Lead shall ensure these systems remain secure, reliable, and responsive to evolving Navy requirements, while improving system performance, user experience, data quality, and compliance with DoD and Navy policies. Role Summary: Provides technical leadership for design, modernization, sustainment, and integration of MyNavy HR IT systems. Key Responsibilities: Define system architectures and technical solutions aligned with PWS requirements. Lead technical teams supporting software maintenance, sustainment, and enhancement. Ensure secure, scalable, and reliable system designs. Guide implementation of DevSecOps, CI/CD, and automated testing practices. Support technical reviews and risk mitigation. Qualifications: US Citizenship with the ability to obtain/maintain federal clearance (Active clearance preferred) Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. 8+ years of systems engineering experience in Federal IT environments. Experience with web-based enterprise applications and integrations. Familiarity with Navy or DoD IT standards and frameworks.
