KPMG is currently seeking a Lead Coordinator, Accounts Payable / Expense Reviewer to join our Finance & Accounting Fed Services team.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct a comprehensive review and audit of all online expense reports using the Deltek module; ensure adherence to KPMG policies, procedures, and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) guidelines
  • Train new employees on expense guidelines to ensure compliance with both the firm's standards and FAR regulations; provide necessary support and guidance to help navigate the expense reporting system effectively
  • Foster a culture of high performance within the expense report team by providing ongoing training and guidance; share best practices and offer support to enhance their understanding of compliance requirements and improve their performance
  • Independently identify instances of potential fraud or misuse of expenses; promptly report such cases to the appropriate department, such as the Government Contract Compliance (GCC), along with supporting evidence and recommendations for resolution
  • Identify inefficiencies, problems, or gaps in processes, technology, or procedures related to expense reporting; propose and implement improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the expense review process
  • Utilize knowledge and independent judgment to address and resolve issues raised by employees regarding expense reports; apply firm policies and procedures to provide appropriate solutions and ensure compliance
  • Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environment
Qualifications:
  • Minimum five years of recent Accounts Payable experience; preferably with a government contractor
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred; minimum of a high school diploma or GED is required
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Experience with Costpoint 8.0/8.2 and Deltek Time & Expense 9.0 or 10 preferred
  • Ability to respond to questions and resolve escalated issues promptly, while providing exceptional customer service
