About the Role

MWH is seeking an Intern to join the IT Infrastructure & Security Team, gaining hands-on experience in systems administration and cybersecurity. This role is ideal for candidates eager to develop technical skills in a collaborative environment, working directly with Microsoft Cloud technologies, Windows servers, and services such as Active Directory.

Essential Functions

• Assist with the administration, monitoring, and maintenance of Windows servers and Active Directory.
• Support configuration, deployment, and management of user accounts and access controls.
• Participate in routine system health checks, system/software updates, and troubleshooting.
• Eager to learn (or advance knowledge) and utilize PowerShell for automation and system management tasks.
• Help respond to cybersecurity events, including incident alerts and investigations, under the guidance of senior team members.
• Contribute to the implementation of security policies and procedures.
• Document system configurations, procedures, and remediation steps.

Preferred Qualifications

• Coursework or experience in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Familiarity with Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft Enterprise Cloud services fundamentals.
• Basic understanding of PowerShell scripting.
• Interest in cybersecurity and willingness to learn best practices.
• Solid analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and take initiative.

Mentorship & Learning:

• Intern will be mentored by experienced IT and security professionals, gaining exposure to real-world systems administration and cybersecurity operations.

Compensation

• The anticipated pay range for this position is $23 - $26 per hour.
