Are you looking for an opportunity to contribute to an innovative, industry leading company? InterMetro Industries is seeking an Market Data Specialist to join our Foodservice Sales team.

The Market Data Specialist supports the Sales, Marketing, and Corporate teams by assisting with data collection, reporting, and administrative tasks. This role helps maintain reporting tools and contributes to the sales planning process by ensuring accurate and timely data is available for decision-making.



Primary Responsibilities:



  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Corporate teams to gather data and prepare standard reports, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
  • Maintain and update Power BI dashboards and data models, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
  • Support the upkeep of business data tables by entering new information, keeping records current, and handling routine internal update requests.
  • Translate basic analytical findings into clear summaries for business partners (e.g., weekly KPIs, simple variance analysis).
  • Execute data integrity tasks (duplicate detection, field validation, refresh monitoring), escalating discrepancies for resolution.
  • Analyze sales trends, customer behavior, and market data to facilitate forecasting and territory planning activities.
  • Prepare scheduled and ad hoc reports to support business reviews and cross-functional projects.
  • Contribute to data driven initiatives by documenting processes, maintaining report catalogs, and proposing incremental improvements.
  • Partner with IT and analytics teams to help streamline reporting processes and assist in improving data workflows.
  • Perform a wide range of analytical duties using Microsoft Excel, including creating and applying complex formulas, executing lookup functions, and conducting detailed data manipulation to support reporting and decision making activities.
  • Possesses knowledge and understanding of the Code of Business Ethics. Contributes to a workplace environment that is conducive to the maintenance of the Code. Remains alert and sensitive to situations that could result in actions by an employee that are illegal, unethical, in violation of the Code or the policies and procedures that support the Code. Reports actual or perceived violations of the Code or Company policies and procedures for appropriate action.
  • Other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Data Analytics, or related field.

Work Experience: 0-2 years of experience in analytical or reporting roles (internships included).



  • Proficiency with Excel; familiarity with Power BI (DAX fundamentals) and data visualization best practices.
  • Detail orientation with basic data quality and validation skills.
  • Strong analytic skills, communication skills; ability to produce clear, accurate summaries for non-technical audiences on an independent basis.
