Job Overview The Senior, HR Technology sustains, implements, and enhances Workforce Management (UKG/Kronos), a core application supporting Macy's time, attendance, and workforce scheduling functions. This role owns system implementation, configuration, and ongoing optimization, partnering closely with HR Technology Module Owners, Centers of Excellence, and HR leadership to ensure the solution is effectively leveraged across the organization. This role synthesizes business requirements, vendor-released features, and the HR Technology technical roadmap to maximize value delivered through each enhancement or release cycle. It serves as a primary liaison to internal IT and (UKG/Kronos) technical partners, ensuring the environment supports concurrent projects, testing, and issue resolution. The Senior, HR Technology role contributes to design, configuration, and documentation efforts to strengthen organizational understanding of the evolving Workforce Management ecosystem. Responsibilities include cataloging system configurations, integrations, and reporting assets and leveraging this information to identify convergence points, overlapping capabilities, and opportunities for optimization. The Senior, HR Technology role regularly interacts with all levels of HR leadership and leads discussions, presents recommendations, and partners across business units. The role requires strong communication, analytical, and reporting skills and adherence to established security, audit, and compliance standards. What You Will Do
Skills You Will Need Workforce Management (UKG/Kronos) Expertise: Proven experience implementing, configuring, and optimizing UKG/Kronos Workforce Management, including timekeeping rules, scheduling, accruals, and pay rules. HR Technology Configuration & Optimization: Strong ability to design, configure, document, and enhance HR technology solutions in alignment with business requirements, compliance standards, and best practices. Release & Enhancement Management: Experience managing system enhancements, patches, and new feature adoption by evaluating business needs and aligning opportunities within structured release cycles. Business Requirements & Solution Design: Ability to translate business needs, regulatory requirements, and operational workflows into scalable system configurations and technical solutions. Reporting & Analytics: Strong reporting skills within Kronos and across HR technologies, with the ability to analyze system performance, operational trends, and compliance requirements. Vendor & IT Partnership: Ability to serve as a primary liaison to internal IT teams and external vendors, supporting environment management, parallel initiatives, testing cycles, and issue resolution. Communication & Executive Presence: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence presenting recommendations and leading discussions with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and mathematical skills, with the ability to evaluate system logic, identify optimization opportunities, and solve complex problems independently. Documentation & Detail Orientation: Strong attention to detail with the ability to interpret and create configuration guides, reports, and procedural documentation. Prioritization & Work Management: Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, exercise sound judgment, and work independently in a fast-paced environment. Customer & Stakeholder Focus: Demonstrated customer service orientation with a collaborative, partnership-driven mindset. Compliance & Payroll Knowledge: Understanding of wage and hour laws and compliance requirements; payroll knowledge preferred. Technical Acumen: Familiarity with Oracle HCM Cloud configurations preferred; ability to read and write basic SQL queries and analyze system logic or scripts is a plus. Continuous Learning: Willingness and ability to complete required training related to (UKG/Kronos) and other HR systems. Who You Are
