Maintenance Tech performs facility maintenance service and repairs in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, painting, machine servicing, electrical, grounds maintenance, and vehicle servicing. The maintenance tech is responsible for performing preventative, predictive and routine maintenance tasks including troubleshooting issues, repairing failures of production and facilities equipment, and ensuring maximum equipment efficiency and effectiveness. QUALIFICATIONS:
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand and walk for extended periods of time and to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls. The associate frequently is required to talk or hear. The associate is required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel or crawl over, under and around equipment. The associate is required to frequently work from a ladder or at heights up to 11 feet off the ground. May be exposed to vibration. The associate must regularly lift and/or move up to 15 pounds frequently, move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. WORK ENVIRONMENT: General production environment. The noise level ranges from moderate to loud occasionally. Environment may be warm or cool, depending on weather and other factors. SCHEDULE: Hours depend on business and department needs. All positions are subject to overtime as needed. Overtime can be scheduled by adding additional days to the scheduled days for the week or by extending the hours worked. See a supervisor for information on overtime worked in a particular department. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This job has no supervisory responsibilities. The associate may be asked to assist in the training of new associates on specific duties.
