Description
Minimum Requirements And Qualification

  1. Bachelor's degree preferred from an accredited four-year college, university, or technical school.
  2. Five (5) or more years of related experience and/or training, including at least three (3) years in progressively responsible supervisory roles, or an equivalent combination of education and experience demonstrating the ability to perform the position's duties.
  3. Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate preferred.
  4. Strong working knowledge of FAA, EPA, OSHA, and other applicable regulatory requirements relevant to the position's responsibilities.
  5. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  6. Effective oral and written communication skills.


Major Responsibility Areas And Duties

  1. Review and approve vendors and suppliers; maintain the Approved Vendor List (AVL); and review and update the Authority to Sign roster.
  2. Issue, control, and maintain records for all inspection and production stamps, including management of the stamp roster.
  3. Ensure required aircraft maintenance manuals and technical data are available to personnel performing work.
  4. Conduct ongoing surveillance to ensure personnel are using current, calibrated equipment and tooling.
  5. Maintain Employment Summaries for management, supervisory staff, inspectors, and personnel authorized to approve maintenance releases for return to service of maintained or altered articles.
  6. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with the FAA and customer counterparts, including gathering quality-related feedback and conducting trend analysis to support continuous improvement initiatives.
  7. Ensure compliance with all applicable technical publications.
  8. Maintain and ensure the accuracy of the Repair Station Approved Vendors List (AVL) and Subcontract Maintenance Provider List following completion of the vendor approval process.
  9. Provide oversight of the Safety Management System (SMS) and coordinate its effectiveness with repair station leadership and relevant departments.


Additional Duties

  1. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors necessary for the normal day-to-day operation, not determined at time of hire.

  6. Ability to communicate effectively in a variety of work settings.
  7. Ability to work in an aviation maintenance environment while adhering to applicable safety requirements, including the use of personal protective equipment.
