Key responsibilities

  • Primarily responsible for administration and support of APM solution used by substation operations for construction, maintenance, and inspection..
  • Partner with Electric Operations stakeholders to understand field construction and maintenance workflows and translate them into system requirements and usable solutions.
  • Lead requirements gathering sessions (workshops, interviews, process mapping), document current/future state, and drive alignment across IT and Operations.
  • Own end-to-end requirements artifacts: business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, data needs, and test scenarios.
  • Coordinate with technical teams and vendors on solution design, integrations, and data flows (including alignment with SAP where applicable).
  • Support change management: stakeholder communications, training needs, release readiness, and operational adoption.
  • Help prioritize backlog/work based on business value, risk reduction, reliability impact, and operational feasibility.
  • Provide ongoing production support mindset: issue triage, root cause coordination, and continuous improvement.

Desired:

  • APM experience in the utility industry (electric preferred): exposure to asset health, predictive analytics, reliability programs, or maintenance optimization in an operational environment.
  • Good understanding of systems used by field employees supporting construction and maintenance (work management, mobile/field tools, inspections, work orders, etc.).

  • Proven experience leading requirements sessions and facilitating discussions across IT, operations, and leadership stakeholders.
  • Ability to translate operational needs into clear, testable requirements and drive decisions through ambiguity.
