Requisition ID# 169746 Job Category: Maintenance / Construction / Operations Job Level: Individual Contributor Business Unit: Gas Operations Work Type: Onsite Job Location: Ridgecrest Department Overview Gas Operations is focused on ensuring the safe and reliable flow of natural gas to our customers. Gas Operations is responsible for all aspects of PG&E's gas distribution and transmission operations, including planning, engineering, maintenance and construction, restoration and emergency response. Position Summary This is an IBEW Local 1245 represented classification, which has over 100 years of experience representing employees at PG&E. This job is subject to collective bargaining. Under the direction of a Gas Crew Leader, Fitter or Gas Mechanic, individual will perform such duties as installing leak repair clamps, domestic meter sets, miscellaneous pipe fitting, operating equipment such as earth-boring equipment, small pressure control equipment, leak detectors, pipe locaters, small trenchers and other equipment of 80 lbs. or less. May work alone in performing such duties as truck driving, operating compressors, concrete saws, routine leak surveys, pipe locating and taking pipe to soil potentials. Perform clerical work associated with these duties. This position is a DOT (Department of Transportation) covered classification and is subject to random drug and/or alcohol screenings. This position will be in the South region in the PG&E service territory. The position will be headquarter in Ridgecrest subject to change based on business needs. PG&E is providing the hourly rate that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This position is subject to collectively bargained hourly wage rates and increases. The starting wage rate for this position is $50.86 hour. This wage rate is specific to the locality of the job. The wage rate is based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, collective bargaining agreements, and internal equity.
