Description Assisting with PC refresh activities and support related to the production assets planned for ACT. * Identify the software that needs to be packaged and scripted for each business unit based off of application discovery o Package application and load into Software Center o Develop associated scripts to automate the software installation process o Test both the software package and scripted installation procedures to ensure correct functionality * Provide technical expertise to the refresh processes and assist with changes to the tools used and associated project processes * Assist with PC imaging, software installation and PC setup * Hold or lead technical meetings related to executing refresh activity * Assist ACT IT with the development of Ubuntu image\OS * Work with IT Org to test acceptable solutions used by ACT users to satisfy security requirements (e.g. antivirus/malware, DLP, encryption, etc.) * Work closely with Business Unit SMEs to identify concerns and issues during beta testing * Work closely with Business Unit SMEs to confirm image and solution meets their requirements * Work with GIS and ACT IT leads to help determine interim patching and monitoring solutions * Assist with Ubuntu PC refresh once image is ready * Identify Ubuntu users/PCs * Image PC * Transfer data & install required software * Schedule PC replacement with user * Perform PC installation deskside with user * Submit ISE/NAC exceptions as needed * Evaluate the impacts to the ACT business unit of initiatives, implementations and roll-outs before they are executed. * Provide risk mitigation recommendations and solutions * Address any adverse impacts to the business by resolving ourselves or coordinating with the correct group\individual within ACT IT /IT Org * Monitor production PC's scheduled for updates and follow the client's defined processes to ensure they were successfully received. * Schedule and\or initiate PC reboots around production schedules in order for updates to take affect * Address issues related to recent updates business by resolving ourselves or coordinating with the correct group\individual within the IT Org * Assist with inventory management of ACT IT / IT owned PC equipment * Assist the business with identifying the right hardware to order * Maintain seed stock of hardware inventory * Provide and\or install hardware as requested by end users * Notify the appropriate person or team when re-orders are needed * Assist with removable media process evaluation and exceptions * Review use cases for users/PCs (700+ PCs) that received an exception to determine if USB encryption is acceptable * Document process to submit exception properly * Communicate to users how to properly submit their exceptions * Provide support and assistance to other ACT projects or tasks as needed Skills Deployment, Desktop, Active directory, Windows 10, Dell, Customer service, Help desk, Support, Troubleshooting, Hardware, Windows, Imaging, Help desk support Intermediate Level Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Chillicothe, IL.
