Specifically, we are looking for aTS/SCI cleared Release/Deployment Specialist - SME to support this mission at Pope Army Airfield, North Carolina. Responsibilities: As a Release/Deployment Specialist - SME, you will provide technical and management leadership for all equipment and information support functions across the Task Order. Your responsibilities include:
Provides strategic leadership for defining the overarching vision, policies, and operational standards for C2ISR Release and Deployment across the entire enterprise. Leads activities to transition to modernize engineering practices, digital engineering frameworks, and emerging mission systems technologies
- Establishes enterprise-wide goals and long-range strategic plans for the continuous delivery and deployment of complex integrated C2ISR capabilities, ensuring future-state readiness and rapid adaptation to evolving mission requirements.
- Serves as the principal authority on all aspects of release engineering, CI/CD, and automated deployment frameworks for highly integrated, mission-critical C2ISR systems. Provides training on integrated C2ISR workflows, data flows, and cross-platform dependencies
- Directs and controls all release and deployment initiatives, holding ultimate responsibility for strategic planning, resource allocation, process methodologies, and staffing, ensuring operational excellence and minimal disruption during system changes.
- Leverages deep domain and expert technical knowledge to conduct comprehensive deployment risk assessments, develop advanced mitigation strategies, and integrate innovative, proactive release solutions (e.g., blue/green, canary deployments).
- Engages in high-level client negotiations and strategic interfacing with senior management, shaping policies, resource allocation, and technical standards with critical impact on C2ISR mission effectiveness and rapid capability/delivery.
- Utilizes the following Role Specific Tools: ITIL Change Management tools (ServiceNow Change, Remedy Change); CI/CD platforms (GitLab CI/CD, DAST, Jenkins, Azure DevOps); project scheduling software (Microsoft Project, Smartsheet); configuration management databases (CMDB); defect and release tracking systems (Jira, Azure DevOps); documentation repositories (Confluence, SharePoint); collaboration platforms (Microsoft Teams, Slack); risk assessment templates; ASI tracking dashboards; performance monitoring tools (Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana). ServiceNow and Jira for CMDB. GitLab, VMware Aria Automation and Orchestration, Jenkins, RedHat Ansible Automation Platform, Terraform, Prometheus, HAProxy, and Grafana for DevSecOps pipeline. SparxEA, Cameo, and Visio for modeling. Docker, Kubernetes, and VMware Tanzu for containerization / orchestration.
Qualifications
Required qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Release/Deployment Specialist or similar role supporting a DoD customer at the CCMD level
- Minimum of 12 years' experience with a BS/BA degree or 10 years' experience with a MS/MA or 8 years' experience with a Ph.D. OR 16 years without a degree OR 14 years with AS/AA
- A current, active DoD security clearance at the TS/SCI level
- US citizenship is required
- DOD 8140 Compliance based on functional role for WRC: 802 IT Project Manager, Advanced Level / ability to obtain
Desired Qualifications:
- DoD-approved IA baseline certification for ADP-III/IT-III based on the IAT level and CE/Operating System (OS) certificate within six months of the assignment.
- Minimum of 16 years' experience with a BS/BA degree or 14 years' experience with a MS/MA or 10 years' experience with a Ph.D. OR 20 years without a degree OR 18 years with AS/AA
Work Environment:
- Location:Pope Army Airfield, NC
- On-site expectations: Full-time on-site presence required for equipment management and asset tracking
- Travel:May require occasional travel to CONUS and OCONUS sites for logistics coordination and facility assessments

Target Salary Range
$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
