Job Description The Referral Specialist is responsible for obtaining referrals from each patient's primary care provider (PCP) for all scheduled visits, as well as verifying current insurance coverage. Primary Responsibilities * Obtain referrals for office visits across all clinic locations. * Coordinate and schedule all incoming referrals. * Routinely review provider schedules to identify any addon appointments requiring referrals. * Serve as a representative to referring physician offices, insurance carriers, and patients. * Communicate with the billing department as needed regarding referral or insurance-related issues. * Collaborate with the Patient Services Representative (PSR) team to ensure all referrals are processed accurately and in a timely manner. Required Skills * Receptionist and front desk experience * Administrative and clerical support * Healthcare or medical office experience * Microsoft Office proficiency * Data entry and 10key skills * Strong customer service orientation * Multiline phone system experience * Bilingual abilities (preferred but not required) Top Skills: Receptionist, Administrative, Assistant, Healthcare, Medical, Microsoft Office, Data Entry, Customer Service, Phones Additional Qualifications Must Have: * Minimum 1 year of facetoface customer service (retail, administrative, front office, or similar) * Ability to operate a multiline telephone system * High School Diploma or equivalent Nice to Have: * Experience working at a healthcare clinic front desk * Experience with NextGen or another Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system Experience Level Entry Level Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Golden, CO. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
