Description As an Data Center Technician you are a primary resolver for your support team skilled at troubleshooting and resolving most complex hardware infrastructure issues. You create and maintain documentation on technologies you support and are able to effectively passdown knowledge of these technologies to junior staff. You have basic to intermediate system administration skills and where applicable are able to take on remote system administration tasks working in a virtual team. You have the ability to automate tasks with scripts when necessary. You work autonomously to resolve most support issues. You are able to execute small projects on your own and work with your manager in planning and executing larger local projects. You act as the initial escalation point for junior technicians. You understand all aspects of the equipment you support. You know how to innovate and make decisions on his/her own but also know how to take direction when it is given paying attention to all details involved. Additional Skills & Qualifications Physical Environment and Safety Protocols: * Must successfully pass through metal detection equipment daily * Required to work in data center environments with variable temperature conditions * Temperature fluctuations dependent on seasonal changes and external weather conditions * Work areas may contain environmental allergens and airborne particles including dust * Must be able to work in confined spaces as required by job duties Physical Requirements: * Ability to adapt to varying temperature conditions within the data center environment * Capability to work in areas where dust and allergens are present * Must be comfortable working in confined spaces when necessary * Ability to follow required security protocols including metal detection screening * Important Notice: Candidates requiring reasonable accommodation should discuss their needs during the application process.
