IT Technician Position Overview TEKsystems is seeking an IT Technician to support system upgrades, device imaging, and enduser technical assistance across several sites. This role focuses on building and deploying new hardware, supporting operating system transitions, and providing handson troubleshooting for desktops, printers, and phones. Strong communication skills, reliability, and the ability to work in a teamoriented environment are essential. Key Responsibilities * Build, configure, and deploy new hardware as part of a largescale operating system upgrade initiative. * Perform imaging, installation, and rollout of Windowsbased devices. * Troubleshoot hardware, software, and application issues for end users. * Support account creation and adjustments within standard directory services. * Install, configure, and support desktop, printer, and phone equipment. * Upgrade memory, tag assets, and prepare devices for deployment. * Work directly with end users after device buildout, providing clear communication and customerfocused support. * Assist with application deployment and ensure systems are properly configured. * Maintain accurate documentation and update tickets within the organization's tracking system. * Collaborate with onsite and remote team members to support daily operations. * Follow safety requirements and adhere to sitespecific guidelines when working in industrial or technical environments. * Travel between designated sites as needed. Required Qualifications * Strong experience in Windows technical support, including imaging and device rollouts. * Experience supporting Windows 10 and Windows 11 environments. * Solid troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently. * Familiarity with account setup and basic administrative tasks. * Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with end users. * Strong customerservice mindset and teamoriented attitude. * Ability to be punctual, reliable, and maintain a positive demeanor. * Willingness to work onsite full time and comply with safety requirements. * Ability to travel between assigned locations. Preferred Qualifications * Experience with device deployment tools or imaging processes. * Exposure to application support and basic network troubleshooting. * Familiarity with asset management and ticketing systems. * Technical certifications or equivalent handson experience. Additional Notes * Some environments require safety gear and adherence to grooming standards. * Certain sites may require security clearance or identityverification processes. * This role involves both technical center work and support within industrial or operational environments. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Oregon, OH. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
