Job Description Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant, Consolidation and SEC Reporting to support our external financial reporting and global consolidation processes. This individual will play a key role in preparing and reviewing SEC filings, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements, and supporting the monthly and quarterly close and consolidation activities across the organization.

The ideal candidate will combine strong technical accounting expertise with experience in public company reporting and consolidations, and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

SEC Filings & External Reporting

  • Assist in the preparation and review of SEC filings, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP, SEC rules, and disclosure requirements.
  • Prepare supporting workpapers, tie-outs, and documentation for financial statements, footnotes, and management's discussion and analysis (MD&A).
  • Support the preparation and review of XBRL tagging and ensure data accuracy in external filings.

Monthly Close & Consolidation

  • Participate in the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and intercompany eliminations.
  • Support the global consolidation of financial results across multiple subsidiaries and entities, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP.
  • Prepare supporting schedules for internal and external reporting requirements.

Internal Controls & Compliance

  • Support SOX compliance efforts by maintaining accurate documentation and evidence of key controls over financial reporting.
  • Ensure accounting practices align with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Projects

  • Participate in special projects, including process improvements, system implementations, and M&A integration activities.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • CPA license or CPA eligibility.
  • 2-4 years of progressive accounting and reporting experience, including public accounting and/or public company SEC reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, and SOX compliance.
  • Experience with monthly close, consolidation, and financial reporting processes.
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis).

Preferred:

  • Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Experience with ERP and consolidation systems such as Oracle, SAP, HFM, or Workiva.
  • Exposure to complex accounting areas (business combinations, stock compensation, revenue recognition, derivatives, etc.).
  • Experience in a high-growth public company or multi-entity corporate environment.

Physical Demands:

Must be able to bend, squat, crouch and/or reach and lift up to 25 pounds or more, as required by the job. Some Sunbelt jobs may require driving for long periods of time, loading and unloading heavy equipment, performing work in extreme weather conditions including rain, wind or excessive temperatures and/or night and weekend work. Base Pay Range: $74,501.00 - 102,438.60
