Genesis10 is currently seeking a Solutions Architect for a 12-month contract role with our client in Eagan, MN. This role will be 100% onsite.

Compensation: $90.00 - $97.00 per hour, depending on skill and experience level.

Role Summary
The Solution Architect is responsible for designing end-to-end technology solutions that align business objectives with technical strategy. This role translates business requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable architectures while ensuring solutions integrate effectively across platforms, applications, and data sources.
The Solution Architect partners closely with business leaders, product owners, engineering teams, and enterprise architecture to ensure solutions are technically sound, cost-effective, and aligned with organizational standards.

Key Responsibilities
Solution Design & Architecture
  • Design end-to-end solution architectures that meet functional, non-functional, and business requirements.
  • Define application, integration, data, and infrastructure architecture for new initiatives and enhancements.
  • Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture standards, cloud strategies, and security requirements.
  • Evaluate and recommend technologies, patterns, and frameworks to support scalability and maintainability.
Business & Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand objectives, constraints, and success criteria.
  • Translate business needs into clear architectural designs, diagrams, and technical specifications.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to delivery teams, product owners, and leadership.
Delivery Support & Governance
  • Guide development teams during implementation to ensure adherence to architecture and design intent.
  • Participate in design reviews, technical decision forums, and architecture governance processes.
  • Identify and manage technical risks, dependencies, and trade-offs.
  • Support release planning and ensure architectural readiness for deployment.
Integration & Data Architecture
  • Design and oversee system integrations (APIs, messaging, batch, event-driven architectures).
  • Ensure data flows, data quality, and data security are properly addressed.
  • Align solutions with enterprise data platforms and integration standards.
Non-Functional Requirements
  • Address performance, scalability, availability, security, resiliency, and compliance requirements.
  • Ensure solutions meet regulatory and compliance standards (HIPAA, SOX, PCI, etc., as applicable).
  • Incorporate observability, logging, and monitoring into solution designs.

Required Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience
Experience
  • 7 years of IT experience with application development, systems integration, or infrastructure
  • 3 years in a Solution Architect or senior technical design role
  • Experience working in Agile / Scrum / SAFe delivery environments
  • Experience supporting multi-team or program-level initiatives

Technical Skills
  • Application Architecture: Microservices, monolithic, hybrid architectures
  • Integration: REST APIs, messaging, event-driven patterns
  • Cloud Platforms: AWS
  • DevOps & CI/CD: Understanding of build, deployment, and release pipelines
  • Security: Authentication, authorization, data protection, and secure design principles
  • Data Concepts: Relational and NoSQL databases, data flows, and data governance
  • Familiarity with modern development stacks-Java
Soft Skills & Leadership
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to influence without direct authority
  • Comfortable working in matrixed, cross-functional environments
