About Salesforce

Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action. Tech meets trust. And innovation isn't a buzzword - it's a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.

Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You're in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.

Role Overview

The Core Solution Engineer focused on AI Innovation is a high-impact, strategic pre-sales role at Salesforce. As a member of our Core SE team, you will be a trusted advisor to our customers, helping them navigate the entire Salesforce Platform. While you will support the full breadth of Salesforce technologies, this lead role has a primary focus on driving the future of the "Agentic" enterprise. You will lead the charge in helping customers unlock the power of the Salesforce Platform and Suite of Solutions, including Agentforce and Data 360 to transform their business processes.

Through collaboration with customers, Product teams, and Professional Services, you will develop thoughtful solutions that help our customers connect with their clients in entirely new ways. This is a dynamic role where expertise in design, business consulting, and cutting-edge technology-specifically AI and Data-is used every day to drive innovation.

Key Responsibilities 1. Strategic Discovery & Solutioning
  • Lead deep discovery sessions to uncover complex business problems across various sub-sectors of the Financial Services industry

  • Identify and prioritize high-business-value use cases in which CRM, Agents and unified data can provide the most significant ROI.

  • Build and present customized demonstrations that tell a compelling story of the customer and employee journeys, empowered by Salesforce technologies.

  • Partner with Account Executives and the broader account team to develop technical sales strategies that align Salesforce's platform and suite of AI-enabled products with the customer's business requirements, and their long-term digital roadmap and architecture.

2. Agentforce & Data 360 Leadership

  • Workshops & Hands-on Engagement: Lead virtual and on-site Agentforce Workshops, guiding customers through the practical application of Embedded AI (prompts), Predictive AI, and Agents within their specific business context.

  • Agent Builder Advisory: Advise clients on how to effectively structure Agent Topics, craft precise Instructions, and define Actions (via Flow, Apex, or APIs) to ensure agents are helpful, professional, and safe.

  • Blended Logic: Help customers balance the generative flexibility of Probabilistic logic with rules-based Deterministic logic to ensure consistency, compliance and brand fidelity.

  • User Experience: Guide customers through best practices on how humans and agents interact seamlessly.

  • Data Foundation for RAG: Consult on Data 360 (Data Cloud) structures, advising on data ingestion and the creation of Data Libraries used for Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) to ensure AI responses are grounded in trusted company data.

3. POCs and Pilots

  • Orchestrate and lead Proof-of-Concepts (POCs) and small-scale Pilots for Agentforce and Data 360, proving technical feasibility and business impact in the customer's sandbox environment (for POC's) and production environment (for Pilots).

  • Lead use case ideation and help customers identify the right Agentforce opportunities

  • Demonstrate through rapid prototyping how connected experiences come to life when the Salesforce platform is powered by a unified data layer and intelligent agents.

4. Innovation & Trust

  • Act as a bridge between the customer and Salesforce Product teams, providing feedback from the field to help shape the future of our AI and Data products.

  • Navigate complex "Trust" conversations, explaining how the Einstein Trust Layer protects customer data while enabling powerful generative capabilities.

Required Qualifications
  • B.S. Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS, or equivalent relevant experience.

  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a technical pre-sales, consulting, or solution architecture role.

  • Strong Business Acumen: Ability to take ambiguous business problems and define a clear, innovative path forward.

  • Technical Breadth: Foundational knowledge of database and data lake technologies, web technologies (HTML/JS), and API integrations.

  • Exceptional Communication: Solid oral, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to C-level executives.

  • Travel: Ability to travel based on territory alignment and customer needs.

Preferred Qualifications & Specialized Skills
  • Salesforce Certifications: (e.g., AI Associate/Specialist, Data Cloud Consultant, or Administrator/Platform Developer).

  • AI & Data Proficiency: Familiarity with the concepts of Large Language Models (LLMs), Prompt Engineering, Vector Databases, and the mechanics of RAG.

  • Workflow Expertise: Experience building automated workflows (e.g., Salesforce Flow) and understanding how they can be leveraged as "Actions" for AI agents.

  • Previous Experience: Prior success as a Solution Engineer for a CRM, Data Platform, or AI-focused technology company, OR hands-on experience implementing Salesforce in a Customer Environment.
