The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience. Section II: Summary of Job Function Assumes responsibility for the overall functioning of the clinical areas, Coordinates nursing care and practice as well as wound care activities in conjunction with the philosophy, policies, procedures and program plans of the hospital, Evaluates appropriateness of wound consult patients, coordinates care/patient education and follow-up, Acts as a liaison with physicians and other health care team members, Participates in house-wide skin/wound care programs for staff education and patient care as needed including Prevalence and Competency Days, Develops and participates in unit PI Assumes some varied and flexible scheduling to meet patient and staff needs, Uses an understanding of the principles of growth and development to assess each patient s age specific needs and provide age specific treatment and care, Section III: Job Qualifications/Education/Training/Certification/Licensure Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, Licensed and currently registered as a professional nurse in the State of New Jersey, Experienced and demonstrates clinical competence in Wound Care, Minimum of 1 year previous Wound Care experience, Current BLS certification required, Must have a Wound Care Certification (WCC) or Wound Ostomy and Continence Nursing Certification (WOCN) or obtain within 6 months of hire.
