Responsibilities

HRIS Lead

Reporting to the head of HR, the Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) Lead is a hands-on, standalone role that serves as the sole subject matter expert (SME) and owner of the organization's HR systems and integrations. This position is responsible for personally managing, configuring, supporting, and optimizing all HRIS platforms, including the ICIMS system, Workday, UKG, ADP and Unanet. The HRIS Lead owns the end-to-end HR systems landscape, with deep technical knowledge of how the ICIMS system integrates with HR systems and how Workday data flows into Finance/Payroll, IT, and external vendors. This role performs both strategic and operational work, acting as system architect, administrator, integration lead, analyst, and primary support resource for all HRS-related processes.

A critical aspect of this responsibility includes ensuring the HRIS data structures support and integrate with the data management systems within other functions. He/she will create capabilities that enable functional and business leadership to make evidence-based decisions. He/she will lead the implementation and management of standardized and well-documented process workflows and data frameworks to deliver consistent, high-quality insights through data analysis, at increasing levels of scale and satisfaction.

This role will drive successful completion of key initiatives in the Human Resources function, and interface with other functional areas of the business to collaborate and drive innovation. The HRIS Lead is a strategic thinker, able to collaboratively solve complex business problems that align with the needs and values of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

    Create and perpetuate capabilities that enable the functional and business leaders to make evidence-based decisions by establishing analytic frameworks and functional models to assess and forecast business performance and provide recommendations for solving key problems.
  • Utilize a range of predictive models (Simple & Multi-variate regression, Decision Trees/Survivability modeling, Machine Learning, etc.) to analyze large data sets and drive analysis that inform business solutions.
  • Develop and maintain well documented data architecture, enforcing standards across all systems for efficient processes and clean reliable data.
  • Implement and maintain a comprehensive aggregation system, driving strategic thinking into all aspects of system design and interaction to ensure clean, reliable data.
  • Utilize our current data platforms while expanding the palate of technical solutions available to the business.
  • Oversee the operation and functionality of the company's human capital management, applicant tracking, training, service desk, and data aggregation systems.
  • Lead projects that improve the effectiveness and efficiencies of human resources operations and systems; perpetuate a culture of continuous process improvement
  • Identify and maintain KPIs and business dashboards to enable performance management and facilitate accountability.
  • Manage contracts with various vendors for the HRIS, Talent Acquisition, and Talent Management departments.
  • Serve as a liaison among stakeholders within human resources, finance, procurement, marketing and operations, spearheading high visibility projects that streamline processes and procedures, integrate acquired companies, mitigate risk, and optimize and integrate systems and achieving the best possible ROI throughout the talent operations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • This is a single-incumbent role with full ownership of HR systems and integrations. The HRIS Lead personally executes system configuration, troubleshooting, integrations, testing, documentation, and user support. There are no dedicated HRIS administrators or integration resources supporting this role. Limited consulting is available.
  • Support the management, development, ongoing maintenance, and technical support of the Workday HR System, including but not limited to HCM, Benefits, Compensation, Performance/Merit, Security and Integrations.
  • Oversee day-to-day HRIS operation including transactional, security and internal/external integration issues.
  • Oversee self-service modules, solicit feedback, propose and implement enhancements to increase efficiencies.
  • Develop and maintain well documented data architecture, enforcing standards across all systems for efficient processes and clean reliable data
  • Leads HRIS change management process based on feedback/requests and facilitate HRIS change management review board in a cross-functional, matrixed environment.
  • Run Workday weekly and semi-annual release updates to ensure proper configuration and testing of new functionality.
  • Provide direction, training, establish objectives and performance feedback to HRIS team members. Prioritize work across teams to ensure maximum productivity in meeting both project-related work and production support work. Ensure processes are documented and controls for system changes are in place and adhered to.
  • Participate in lessons-learned sessions and documentation for future projects.
  • Identifies training needs of end-users and develops and provides the necessary training to meet those needs
  • Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals


Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent related experience
  • 10 years experience (at least 5 years HRIS)
  • Demonstrated background in setting up Workday HRIS and managing it in a full life-cycle capacity (design, implementation, day-to-day operations, releases and upgrades). Current system is Workday and migrating to UKG.
  • Experience with or ability to learn other HRIS systems (as stated previously).
  • UKG, Workday, iCIMS

Desired:

  • Experience migrating from Workday to UKG
  • Functional and systems administration experience in ICIMS, Workday and UKG with multiple modules, security and integration systems.
  • Strong partner with demonstrated capacity for strategic and critical thinking and tactical execution.
  • Unanet financial system experience
  • Team player with excellent organization, prioritization, project and time management skills to meet deadlines in a dynamic organization with multiple challenging projects.
  • A multi-dimensional professional who is technologically savvy and skilled in strategy, delivery and operational efficiencies. They must have solid track record of delivering complex projects in matrixed environments, building effective business partnerships, leading transformational initiatives, and fostering a positive work environment that leverages collaboration
  • Strong critical thinker who enjoys tackling complex problems head on, with a strong track record of creating value by facilitating data-driven decisions at various levels of an organization
  • Ability to operate with minimal oversight, influence others with and without authority, and collaborate across all levels within the company
