Such representation includes litigation, transactional assistance, and general legal advice to a wide variety of State entities. The Attorney General's Office employs approximately 200 attorneys organized into 21 legal divisions within 6 sections. How you make a difference in this role: The Health and Education Division (HED) is part of the State Services and Litigation Section of the Attorney General's Office. HED handles programmatic litigation for, and provides advice and counsel to, health and education clients including TennCare, Department of Health, Department of Education, Board of Education, and state universities. HED's practice areas give attorneys exciting opportunities to work on complex, high-profile cases with novel and significant issues.
