As a member of the Operations Strategy team, the Senior Manager leads development and execution of Operations-wide strategies that strengthen competitiveness and enable long-term business objectives. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders to design and implement global initiatives that optimize operational capabilities and performance, ensure resiliency, and enable sustainable growth and profitability. The position also leads high-impact projects across regions, requiring exceptional strategic thinking, collaboration, and the ability to influence at all levels of the organization. ESSENTIAL DUTIES



  • For assigned products/platforms, understand the manufacturing network, including installed capacity and capabilities of key processes.
  • Monitor capacity of regional and global manufacturing networks and collaborate with other functions to develop strategies for optimally meeting long-range forecasts and business growth plans.
  • Provide strategic link with global platform/product managers to support development of long-term business strategies and ensure delivery of planned results.
  • Partner with Supply Chain to develop sourcing strategies for components and finished products that optimize manufacturing and supply chain costs while considering plant competencies, market expansion plans, utilization, business continuity and vertical integration opportunities.
  • Partner with Supply Chain and Engineering to identify potential supply risks (internal and external) and develop Business Continuity plans for assigned products/platforms.
  • Partner with Engineering to develop Manufacturing Technology Roadmap that addresses technology gaps and aging technology, while also identifying innovative/emerging technology applications.
  • Identify cost reduction opportunities and best practices and work with appropriate functions to quantify cost savings, cost to implement and ROI.
  • Develop business cases and present recommended Operations strategies to executives to gain approval and funding.
  • Lead planning and implementation of strategic global projects such as product transfers, product startups, plant expansions, global network expansions and vertical integration.
  • Support Operations and Corporate initiatives through special assignments.
  • Planning and implementation of Operations strategy projects will require coordination of project resources from multiple functions and geographic regions, and will require meetings outside typical work hours and international travel.



MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Education



  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, technology or science.
  • Equivalent education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job may be considered.
  • Master's degree in business or engineering considered a plus.



Experience

Required



  • At least 10 years working in support or management role in Manufacturing, including working in a factory.
  • Cost reduction and optimization of processes.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects in a matrix environment.



Preferred



  • Operations management experience.
  • Work in global medical device or pharmaceutical manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing operations employing plastics processing technologies and manual and automated assembly technologies.
  • Exposure to manufacture of sterile products.
  • Operations network optimization and modeling.
  • Business case development.



Skills



  • General business knowledge and in-depth knowledge of manufacturing.
  • Solid business acumen, including understanding of key drivers of manufacturing performance and costs.
  • Solid quantitative and qualitative assessment skills, critical thinking skills and ability to constructively challenge ideas and assumptions.
  • Strategic orientation, ability to deal with uncertainty and ambiguity and ability to translate ideas into strategies.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to facilitate/manage in a matrix environment.
  • Project management.
  • Effective oral and written communication.
  • Solid knowledge and effective use of relevant PC software applications (Excel, MS Project, MS Teams, PowerPoint).


  • Strong influencing skills strongly preferred.
  • Strong presentation skills strongly preferred.



Certificates, Licenses, Registrations



  • PMP Certification is a plus.



LOCATION

Lakewood, Colorado - Onsite - Open to candidates willing to relocate to the area.

TRAVEL

International travel required (up to 25%).

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS



  • Typical Office Environment requirements include: reading, speaking, hearing, close vision, traverse, bending, sitting, and occasional lifting up to 20 pounds.
  • In addition, when visiting Manufacturing sites, Manufacturing Environment requirements include: use of personal protective equipment, gowning of clean room attire, standing and walking for extended periods, presence of solvents used to bond plastics.

Target Pay Range:$152,700.00to$190,900.00 -Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data
Target Bonus on Base:20.0%
