Position Overview

Pantheon Data is seeking a motivated Electrical/Electronics Engineer I (EE1) to support engineering activities related to shipboard and laboratory cybersecurity systems for Navy platforms. In this early-career role, you will collaborate with senior engineers and technical specialists to assist with system design, documentation, hardware integration, cabling support, troubleshooting, and testing. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or junior engineer to gain hands-on experience with mission-critical Navy systems, contribute to modernization efforts, and grow within a collaborative engineering environment.

The ideal candidate is eager to learn, has strong foundational electrical engineering skills, and is comfortable working both in office/lab settings and aboard Navy ships when required.

Responsibilities



  • Assist in the development, review, and updating of engineering drawing packages, wiring diagrams, and related technical documentation.
  • Support ship checks, site surveys, and configuration validation activities to capture existing conditions and ensure accurate system documentation.
  • Contribute to shipboard configuration loads and hardware installation tasks, including:

    • Cable routing and dressing
    • Cable termination and connector assembly
    • Rack equipment layout support


  • Assist with troubleshooting and diagnostics of sensors, circuits, switches, and power/cabling issues.
  • Support unit testing, integration testing, and validation procedures for cyber-secure HM&E systems.
  • Work closely with senior engineers to implement engineering changes, resolve technical issues, and support system upgrades.
  • Ensure all work adheres to Navy engineering standards, cybersecurity requirements, safety policies, and configuration management protocols.
  • Maintain detailed engineering notes, test results, and documentation to support system certification and approval processes.
  • Provide onsite and remote support based on tasking, including possible participation in underway or pier-side activities.
  • Support occasional CONUS/OCONUS travel for ship checks, installations, tests, or customer meetings.


Required Skills and Experience



  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • Strong foundational understanding of electrical engineering concepts, including:

    • Basic circuit theory
    • Signal flow and power distribution
    • Reading and interpreting wiring diagrams, schematics, and block diagrams


  • Hands-on interest or experience working with hardware, cabling, test equipment, and system components.
  • Ability to complete Government-mandated training (OPSEC, CUI handling, Cybersecurity 101, etc.) to maintain site and network access.
  • Familiarity with or willingness to learn Navy cybersecurity policies, RMF processes, configuration management, and quality standards.
  • CSWF: IAT Level I certification (or ability to obtain shortly after hire).
  • Ability to work onsite or remotely depending on mission needs.
  • Ability to travel CONUS/OCONUS as required.
  • Ability to work effectively remotely in cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and produce quality work.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite software including Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.


Clearance Requirements

U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is up to $53,542. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
