Position Summary

The Associate Director of Commercial Excellence is responsible for developing and overseeing the approach, delivery, and communication of all US field sales operations, sales administration, market access operations, and marketing operations. The Associate Director is a core member of the US Commercial Operations team and serves as a significant partner to the broader Commercial team leaders and reports to the Executive Director, Sales Analytics and Operations.

This position is remote with a corporate headquarters in Foster City, CA and Parsippany, NJ.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Recommend incentive compensation (IC) design based on brand and leadership business objectives for quarterly IC Plans, as well as contests & awards to ensure all IC plans are motivational, compliant, and equitable
  • Lead IC operations, including setting territory level goals, sales leadership reviews, and quarter end payouts
  • Lead field education of IC plans and address IC inquiries
  • Manage external vendor partners
  • Oversee IC calculations and statistical checks, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Design and oversee all field reporting, including sub-national analytics
  • Develop reporting to help Commercial leaders manage team performance
  • Responsible for the field strategy implementation, including territory alignment, account and HCP targeting, segmentation, and field alerts
  • Partner with field teams to solicit input and buy-in to Commercial strategies
  • Respond timely to inquiries from field teams
  • Lead sales, marketing, and market access operations, including field-facing vehicle program and marketing material fulfillment
  • Build and manage yearly budget
  • Participates in ad-hoc Commercial projects

Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related required; master's degree preferred
  • 7-9 years of experience in sales, sales operations, consulting, or analytics required
  • Experience developing and using Excel-based models; PowerBI experience a plus
  • Experience with IC and forecasting principles
  • Extensive experience working with key pharmaceutical data assets like wholesalers, group purchasing organizations, customers, sales, patients, electronic health records, claims, lab, and other secondary data
  • Experience with administering business systems and processes, including data warehouse, business intelligence, CRM, omnichannel marketing, speaker program systems, promotional items warehouse systems, and field alignment software systems

Salary Statement:

Offered compensation is determined based on market data, internal equity, and an applicant's relevant skills, experience, and educational background. The salary ranges displayed below are only for those who, if selected for the role, will perform work in the specific locations listed. Please note the employment opportunity is not limited to these locations.

General Salary Range: $170,000 to $190,000
