Description

Summary: Northwest Respiratory Services is a leading provider of oxygen & respiratory products throughout the Midwest & Northern Rockies. Working from our Eagan, MN office, we are currently in search of a VA Biller. The VA Biller is responsible for preparing complete and accurate billing for our VA Contracts. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, comfortable with billing processes, spreadsheets, and basic accounting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities



  • Maintain professional relationships with VA billing contacts and demonstrate critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Collaborate effectively within the team to achieve both individual and departmental goals, emphasizing a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Handle various administrative tasks including reviewing prescription renewals/addons/exchanges, noting and entering pickup notices for branches, and processing changes of insurance.
  • Manage VA-related processes such as creating, sending, and following up on Annual Oxygen Orders, reviewing monthly invoices for accuracy, and addressing denials.
  • Take ownership of tasks like working aged receivables, processing credit card payments, completing Quarterly Audits for each VA, and addressing irregularities in orders through the Stop/Hold report.


Qualifications

Our top candidates will have:



  • Well versed in Medical insurance/terminology/billing. Experience with HME is a plus
  • Great communication skills: written and verbal, contacting referrals, facilities, patients, etc.
  • Work individually and as a team to meet individual and departmental goals
  • Participate in individual feedback sessions, staff meetings and annual training and/or competency tests
