Role:

We're looking for a proactive and detail-driven Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our People & Culture team. In this role, you'll lead full-cycle recruitment efforts for your assigned departments, collaborate closely with hiring managers, and deliver a thoughtful, inclusive candidate experience. Your expertise will be instrumental in attracting top-tier talent and shaping a workforce that reflects our mission, values, and commitment to service.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities::

  • Source, screen, and identify qualified candidates to fill open positions within the organization. This includes developing job postings, leveraging recruitment platforms, conducting interviews, and collaborating with hiring managers to ensure a smooth and strategic hiring process that aligns with the Credit Union's workforce needs and culture.
  • Conduct pre-employment background checks, credit checks and fingerprint reviews to ensure all hiring practices comply with federal, state, and organizational policies.
  • Establishes and maintains a rapport with department managers to effectively meet staffing requirements and ensure adherence to employment policies and laws.
  • Develop working relationships with representatives from a variety of recruitment resources. Continually explore new cost-effective means for recruiting quality staff members. Works with supervisors and temporary agencies to coordinate placement of temporary employees. Attends job fairs in efforts to recruit top talent.
  • Develop and deliver regular reports that provide insights into current staffing needs, time-to-hire metrics, and overall hiring progress. Facilitate training for new supervisors on effective interviewing practices, use of the recruitment system, and candidate selection strategies to ensure consistent and compliant hiring processes.
  • Maintain and optimize the applicant tracking system (ATS) to ensure accurate and timely candidate data.
  • Utilize a variety of sourcing methods (job boards, social media, networking, employee referrals) to attract diverse and qualified candidates.
  • Support Workforce Diversity and Inclusion efforts in recruitment strategies and outreach.
  • Use AI-driven tools to enhance candidate sourcing, reduce bias in screening, and improve decision-making.

Experience:

Minimum 2-3 years of recruitment/staffing and/or applicable P&C generalist experience.
Knowledge of employment laws related to employee compensation and recruitment including FLSA, ERISA, and EEO.

Education:

A two-year college degree required.

Other Skills:

Strong organization skills and attention to detail.
Working knowledge of MS Windows and Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Ability to manage multiple projects/ priorities.

Some travel is required.
The ability to lift 25 lbs. and utilize standard office equipment including, but not limited to, PC, fax, copier, telephone, etc.
