Job Summary

Manufactures sufficient quantities of quality products at or below budgeted production costs in order to meet marketplace demand. Follows established procedures for operating manufacturing equipment for various tasks. Resolves issues related to the organization's production, machinery, processing and/or packaging operations.


Essential Duties

  • Effectively communicates with the shop foreman and key project personnel to ensure timely resolution of production, scheduling, and cost-related issues.
  • Sets up equipment operation feed, speed, and temperature.
  • Follows established procedures for operating manufacturing equipment for tasks such as cutting, punching, forming, drilling, tapping, turning, milling, and stamping to fabricate, form, or shape manufactured parts, tools, or parts assemblies from raw materials.
  • Selects and measures raw materials and parts to specifications to prepare for production processing.
  • Utilizes material provided to produce product with a minimum of waste and rework. Maintains the work area in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations. Informs the shop foreman and other key project personnel of all issues affecting production, schedule and cost.
  • Detects and reports defective materials, questionable conditions and equipment malfunction to the foreman. Maintains proper use of all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safety equipment.
  • Ensures proper recording of time spent on individual work orders is accurate.

Minimum Requirements

High school diploma or GED

Professional demeanor, solid interpersonal skills with good written and oral communication capability.

Demonstrates punctuality and reliability in all aspects of work.

Demonstrate strong business ethics at all times.

Present professional appearance.

Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.

Ability to multitask.
