JOB SUMMARY This position is responsible for setting a vision and strategic direction that will grow a culture of digital innovation, evaluate and launch ideas for new products or services with the appropriate go-to-market strategies, identify opportunities for cost reduction, improve departmental efficiency and deliver a comprehensive digital vision, strategy, and roadmap that aligns with the organization's overarching strategic goals. This role champions cross-functional collaboration fostering a culture of innovation. It leads the business and digital transformation initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, performance, and sustainable growth. As a key change agent, they bridge business and technology to ensure the successful adoption and integration of innovative business and digital solutions. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Execute and manage a comprehensive digital vision, strategy, and roadmap that aligns with organizational strategy. Guide the Company's efforts to find operational efficiencies, reduce costs, and solve business issues across all departments. When applicable, determine if these solutions have the potential to generate new revenue through the development of innovative products and services. Directs the Strategic Business Department to drive research, planning and coordination required for the identification, development, and implementation of improved operational efficiencies and new business initiatives. Execute strategic initiatives associated with intellectual property, as well as process and efficiency improvements across the organization. When applicable, develop plans, and obtain appropriate in-house and/or third-party resources for new product development, new product pilot programs, including the appropriate documentation for product launch and the entire supply chain from production to final sales. Oversee the development of go-to-market strategies for new products and services and determines outside resource needs to execute these strategies. Develop relationships across the entrepreneurial ecosystem to identify potential business partners, joint ventures, partnerships and third-party support for new products or initiatives. Responsible for determining and executing projects under the Company's Strategic Business Plan Priority, "Business Transformation" and leading the successful execution thereof. Function as a thought leader on digital technologies and stay abreast of new and evolving technologies both within and adjacent to the water utility sector. Conduct periodic needs assessments with business groups to identify opportunities for business and digital improvement/optimization. Assist and collaborate with the business to develop business cases for investment in new capabilities and implementations, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic plans. Utilize emerging technologies (e.g., Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), Robotic Process Automation (RPA), to streamline processes, improve efficiencies, reduce costs, and enhance customer service. Effectively leverage "cloud" infrastructure for improved flexibility, cost-effectiveness, scalability, and analytics. Improve data accuracy and enhance reporting capabilities by effectively utilizing Louisville Water's existing data warehouses so that raw data can be turned into actional insights and employee dashboards. Integrate various data platforms (e.g., CIS to mobile apps, WAM to analytics platforms) to ensure seamless data flow and increase process automation. Leverage existing IT systems (e.g., WAM, GIS, SCADA, AMI) to improve asset management decisions, streamline predictive maintenance activities and provide "real-time" operational insights. Optimize processes around Louisville Water's core ERP systems (Oracle HCM, Oracle EBS, Oracle CIS, Oracle/Cloud WAM). Oversee the selection, implementation, and management of digital technologies and platforms. Collaborate consistently with the IT group and across operations to seek adequate internal and external resources to support technology implementation and maintenance. Lead the Innovation Council, Digital Steering Committee, and relevant digital communities. Collaborate and function as a vocal advocate and change agent for leveraging and adopting digital technologies. Address and manage resistance to change through targeted communication strategies. Enthuse, inspire, and encourage staff to engage in the development and implementation of the digital roadmap. Build and maintain effective partnerships with key cross-functional leaders and project team members. Assist with the training of and provide direction for employees across the organization to enhance the digital competency of the organization. Enhance the visibility of data in organizational communications and dashboards. Create, own, analyze, and communicate results including key performance metrics on a monthly and quarterly basis to key executives, communicating insights in a clear and actionable format. Ensure the realization of expected benefits from transformation projects, holding business units accountable for results. Coach and mentor team members, ensuring successful training and knowledge sharing, and providing development and growth opportunities. Utilize all of Louisville Water's IT Platforms (e.g., Oracle ERP, GIS, WAM, Kloudgin, CIS, AMI, etc.) to turn raw data into actionable insights and understandable dashboards. Crosstrain with other IT Infrastructure support staff for knowledge sharing and transfer. Works with the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) to determine appropriate cross-functional teams to execute the strategic plan for Business and Digital Transformation efforts. Other duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Business, Communication, Finance, Engineering, or related field; and Ten (10) years' experience driving innovation initiatives, including the development of comprehensive strategies that align with organizational strategic plans and/or transformational initiatives that improve the company's performance and operational efficiencies, and Seven (7) years project management or change management experience and/or direct responsibility / accountability for the work of others; and Certification in project management or the ability to obtain a project management certification within 24 months (e.g., PMP, Certified ScrumMaster, Prosci Change Management); and A valid driver's license.
