The Director, AI Solutions Strategy will lead the development and execution of integrated go-to-market (GTM) strategies for AI-enabled products across Optum Insight's portfolio. This role serves as a strategic bridge between Product, Growth, Sales, Marketing, and Finance - ensuring our AI solutions reach the market effectively, achieve adoption, and drive measurable business impact.

This leader will shape how Optum commercializes its AI-first products, bringing a mix of strategic insight, operational rigor, and client-facing leadership. The ideal candidate combines deep product commercialization experience with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and translate innovation into scalable market success.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • GTM Strategy & Planning
    • Define and operationalize AI-focused GTM strategies for new and existing products, aligned to product roadmaps and enterprise growth goals
    • Develop frameworks for market segmentation, pricing, packaging, positioning, and competitive differentiation
    • Translate product vision into clear commercialization and scaling plans, including launch readiness and customer adoption strategies
    • Partner with client teams to deliver ROI-driven product storytelling and showcase measurable impact
  • Cross-Functional Leadership
    • Serve as the connective link between Product, Growth, Sales, and Marketing to ensure alignment and execution discipline
    • Collaborate with Finance on forecasting, capital allocation, and investment trade-offs to optimize portfolio growth
    • Act as a strategic advisor to domain leaders and senior executives on market dynamics, customer insights, and commercial opportunities
  • Market Insights & Positioning
    • Lead ongoing market and competitive intelligence to inform AI product positioning and GTM priorities
    • Create differentiated value propositions and messaging tailored to priority customer segments
    • Embed customer-backed insights into product and commercialization strategy to ensure market relevance and adoption
  • Execution & Measurement
    • Establish repeatable launch playbooks and scalable GTM operating models across the AI product portfolio
    • Define and track success metrics; lead post-launch reviews to refine and evolve strategy
    • Drive adoption and enablement, including sales training, collateral, and customer value realization tracking

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in product commercialization, GTM strategy, product management, or consulting within healthcare, technology, or related industries
  • Proven experience with AI and automation GTM strategies or AI-enabled product launches
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional GTM initiatives in complex, matrixed organizations
  • Solid analytical, financial, and strategic planning skills with a record of turning insights into outcomes
  • Excellent executive communication and stakeholder influence skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or advanced degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field
  • Experience with SaaS, data/analytics, or healthcare technology product lines
  • Proven ability to drive adoption and growth of new products across payer, provider, or life sciences markets
  • Ability to lead through ambiguity and guide teams through large-scale transformation

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $132,200 to $226,600 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
