Security Officer - Financial Patrol

As a Security Officer - Financial Patrol in Birmingham, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Security Professional with Allied Universal at a financial institution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure environment for clients and visitors. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents, while you provide outstanding customer service and clear communication. This is a driving position, requiring regular movement between locations. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter potential concerns.
• Observe and report any suspicious activities or persons within the financial institution environment.
• Communicate promptly with Allied Universal management and site contacts regarding incidents or unusual situations.
• Support access control procedures, including verifying credentials and monitoring entry points.
• Assist in implementing site-specific protocols for security-related concerns.
• Participate in training and drills to stay prepared for emergency response situations.

Minimum Requirements:

• A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Applicants must provide proof of a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
