Your role

The Senior Product Manager leads the product lifecycle management for the CTI cryopump and compressor product family. The role is responsible for the product strategy of the product family. This will require regular interaction with senior divisional leadership and interaction with global customers. The role will report to the GPM cryogenics and be part of the divisional product management team.

Main Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following key areas:



  • New Product Introduction: Develop market requirements and business cases for new products, present them to senior management, and ensure adherence to key customer requirements. Represent marketing in the product development team.
  • Product Lifecycle Management: Proactively analyze business KPIs for your product portfolio, suggest plans for profitability improvements, and identify candidates for product obsolescence.
  • Continuous Improvement: Define key priorities for continuous improvement based on internal and external customer feedback. Collaborate with engineering, operations, and application teams to ensure proper testing and documentation prior to market rollout. Drive continuous improvement of product quality.
  • Voice of Customer/Product Strategy: Regularly interact with key customers, account teams, and application engineers to understand market requirements and support building a product roadmap for the assigned product group. Collaborate with technology, engineering, and market development teams to define technology projects for the product group.
  • Product Marketing: Drive the development of marketing collateral and training sessions. Identify key features and value propositions for different target segments to help sales and applications. Strong communication and presentation skills are essential.
  • Change Control: Ensure adherence to processes across all business functions and compliance with CE (Copy Exact). Promote responsible process improvements through the change control process.
  • Product Cost: Track product costs and work in cross-functional cost reduction teams on cost reduction projects. Hold the PC team accountable for achieving regular cost reductions.
  • Competition Benchmarking: Benchmark product performance against competition and propose technology/engineering projects to improve position. Good understanding of technical differentiators and customer value.
  • Stakeholder management: Routinely interact with senior management and functional managers in PC and CC.
  • Management: Other product manager/specialists may report to the Senior Product Manager.

It goes without saying that you'll

  • Have a A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related discipline is essential
  • Have >5 years experience in a marketing/product management role in the semiconductor industry
  • Have proven experience as a product manager
  • Have experience in product lifecycle management
  • Be Fluent in English

  • Have very strong technical background - good understanding of technologies used in cryopumps and vacuum pumps
  • Have strong communication skills
  • Have good time management
  • Have a strong understanding of the processes used in the target industries
  • Have knowledge of change control processes in semiconductor environment
