Senior Manager, Supply Chain - Product Supply Interface

Purpose:

Leading role in the Product Supply Interface department, partnership with NAM Supply Chain Management and Commercial teams to convert demand to supply, delivering on time availability and inventory performance targets (COTA, LOTA, ATP (Available to Promise), and Inventory) for the business, controlled within given cost constraints.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Part of the Product Supply Interface organization, including executing direction and day-to-day management of performance and development activities


  • Create visibility to NAM projected availability and inventory performance; highlight and action risks and opportunities


  • Drive decision making and action to mitigate risks and maximize opportunities with business partners


  • Functionally manage the hub employees and develop a high performing team; work with the hub lead to set individual goals and targets to expand their knowledge; ensure succession plans are in place
  • Lead regular Demand / Supply Consensus and Availability meetings for all Business Units, in partnership with Demand Planning
  • Monitor Marketing Buying Volumes per season together with Demand Planning and highlight risks and opportunities to Global Product Supply Support implementation of key SCM/Product Supply initiatives
  • Collaborate closely with Business Unit and Demand Planning Management to develop inventory/purchasing plans to best support sales strategies and inventory targets


  • Translate commercial needs related to availability and inventory into Supply Chain requirements/solutions
  • Drive market review of parameters and planning tactics to support optimized availability


  • Ensure in-depth understanding of the strategies and sales targets of the Business Units and guide your team to successfully support key product launches and strategic initiatives


  • Support implementation of key SCM/Product Supply initiatives
  • Maintain and govern cross-department/function Processes and Policies to deliver business quality and control

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:



  • Strong understanding of supply/demand models, production forecasting, purchasing practices, terminology, basic finance and supply chain principles.
  • High business acumen; understanding flow of product from sourcing to customer and profitability drivers
  • Exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to influence others and build consensus with both internal and external partners at all levels of the organization
  • Strong leadership capabilities including coaching, development & living by inclusive practices
  • Team player with proven ability to work cross functionally; accept and meet critical deadlines with good planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to anticipate problems, offer solutions, develop strategies, and address issues within the supply planning process to meet financial targets
  • Advanced MS Office skills and proven ability to learn internal systems / reporting
  • SAP experience preferred



Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:



  • Bachelor degree with emphasis in supply chain management, business or information technology preferred. We welcome other relevant experience or a combination of education and experience in place of formal education or a degree.
  • Minimum 5 years' related progressive work experience and/or training in supply chain management
  • Minimum 2 years' experience managing people



At adidas we offer a Hybrid work policy which requires attendance in the office Monday through Thursday, with the flexibility to work remotely on Friday each week. For work requiring a high degree of collaboration or an in-person presentation, in-office attendance is required even on Friday.
