SUMMARY

Responsible for the administration of purchasing and receiving goods and services at the Vienna, OH location.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Responsible for sourcing, negotiating and procurement of production supplies for the Vienna location
  • Makes purchases in a cost efficient and timely manner
  • Maintain, track, and report monthly supplies inventory to Corporate Controller and Plant Manager
  • Purchase and inventory administrative supplies for all plant departments and employees
  • Work weekly with Corporate AP to resolve any PO discrepancies
  • Issue purchase orders for capital projects as required
  • Assist with set-up of new supplier accounts as required
  • Reduce or minimize costs of plant parts, equipment, services, and consumable inventories by managing, analyzing, and communicating all purchasing functions
  • Develop and maintain key supplier relationships
  • Maintain and expedite open PO's (Expensed and Capitalized)
  • Support plant purchasing coverage needs as required (vacation and absence)
  • Optimize purchasing performance and efficiencies
  • Analyze spending, research/plan cost reduction strategy, and communicate findings to appropriate personnel
  • Support and ensure compliance with all initiatives, procedures, processes, and policies
  • Other duties and projects as assigned by Plant Manager

  • Technical knowledge of manufacturing environment
  • Ability to interact with all levels within the organization
  • Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to work in a team environment and independently
  • Excellent Microsoft Office Skills
  • Strong interest in continuous improvement
  • Strong work ethic
  • Ability to analyze complex issues


EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:



  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
