As a Banquet Set-up Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring appropriate set up of Banquet rooms according to guest specifications and the Marriott's high standards of quality.

What will you be doing?

  • Set up banquet spaces per Banquet Event Order (BEO) and provide contracted customer service.
  • Lead the Banquet department in the Manager's absence, directing staff for efficient setup.
  • Maintain banquet facilities, including carpet cleaning and vacuuming.
  • Aid in serving guests and understand event setup requirements.
  • Work reliably in a 24-hour operation with varied schedules and high-pressure situations.
  • Break down function rooms.
  • Assist in banquet serving as needed.
  • Organize, control, and restock linen and supplies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Manager.

What do you bring to the role?

  • Must be able to work a varied schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull and/or carry 100 lbs.
  • Knowledge of appropriate table settings and proper set-up as well as have basic knowledge of food and beverage service standards.
  • Must be detail-orientated, able to multi-task, produce high quality and accurate work as well as show professionalism in all facets of the workplace.
  • Must be able to represent the company in a professional, well-groomed and courteous manner at all times
  • Previous hospitality/customer service experience is preferred.
