Temporary Research Student

The purpose of the student role will involve the following:

-Completing & attending on-line tutorials relevant to neuroimaging data processing

-Reading core content about neurodevelopment in pediatric chronic diseases. Materials provided by the supervisor.

-Exploring multi-omics data from existing data sources with the PI's team. Specifically, leveraging the student's advanced coursework in machine learning to begin to build an analysis pipeline relevant to the multi-omics data sources.

Education Requirement

A master's degree in engineering or science field such as Biomedical engineering, electrical engineering, chemistry, physics, or computer science is required.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in biomedical or related research.
• Training in MR physics and image acquisition is required.
• Expertise with brain MR imaging and analysis is required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Demonstrated strong analytical and data analysis skills are required.
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g. Python and R studio) for the development of image analysis pipelines required.

Desired Qualifications

• Experience with MR imaging/spectroscopy and glymphatics is highly desired.
• Experience with both small animal imaging and human imaging is preferred
• Prior success with grant applications and peer-reviewed publications is highly desired.
• Knowledge of GE EPIC pulse programming environments is desired.
• Prior experience with cluster computing is desired.
