Role Summary:
Reporting to the Networking & Services Manager, the Network Specialist is a key member of the Networking and Services Team. The primary responsibility of this role is to conduct business development and provide technical sales support for Kendall's Datacom Portfolio. This portfolio includes Industrial and Enterprise Network Infrastructure products offered by partnering manufacturers and sold by Kendall Electric. The Network Specialist is responsible for pre and after-sale support of these products, and design, as well as competency development for our inside and outside sales teams.
Exciting work you will do:
The essential duties and responsibilities of a Network Specialist will consist of, but are not limited to, the following:


  • Ensure a consistent level of business development and support for Kendall account managers and customers within the region
  • Be a single point of contact to partnering manufacturers for the Datacom product lines within the region and be a lead advocate for the portfolio
  • Actively call on our datacom contractor customers to build relationships and grow datacom business
  • Maintain an extensive understanding of Kendall's Datacom networking products offered and the applicable industry standards associated with those products
  • Lead the inventory needs for datacom business in region
  • Lead commercial activity and conversations at key accounts
  • Work with outside sales to create and maintain a robust sales funnel
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What you'll need:


  • Work Experience: 3 years' of experience in the Datacom Technology field
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Analytics/Computer Skills: Microsoft Office Suite, business acumen, including problem solving skills, critical thinking, analytical skills; demonstrated knowledge of the Datacom & Industrial Networking space and its standards
  • Organization Skills: Highly organized and detail-oriented; ability to multi-task and shift priorities as needed; ability to work in fast-paced, and continuously evolving environment
  • Cross-functional skills: Able to build and nurture relationships with your peers and vendors; highly motivated and able to work independently, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and guide other team members
  • Physical, Mental and Visual Skills: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Qualifications we prefer but don't require:


  • Work Experience: 3 years' in outcome-based sales, previous datacom sales/contractor experience
  • Analytics/Computer Skills: CRM experience
