This is either a 2nd or 3rd shift role

You will be located onsite in Oak Creek, WI and report to the S&T Customer Development Expert. PPG offers excellent medical, dental, and vision benefits; matching 401k and retirement benefits; and paid holidays and vacation.

Responsibilities:

  • Follow all PPG safety protocols and encourage a broad safety culture in a laboratory work environment
  • Collaborate in a team-oriented environment by supporting team members and engagement initiatives
  • Support product development by preparing laboratory quantities of paint, applying coatings to appropriate substrate, and performing testing
  • Maintain an accurate, neat notebook. Document all observations, including unusual results, communicating results and observations to direct supervisor, as required
  • Drive through accomplishing tasks as scheduled. Accept and implement feedback
  • Act consistently with The PPG Way daily

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required, with completed coursework in chemistry and algebra
  • 0 to 3 years of experience in a Technical or Quality Control lab environment
  • Basic proficiency with technology and computing
  • Proactive and strong work ethic
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
