Role Summary

As an Audit Intern, you'll gain hands-on experience performing financial, operational, and compliance audits across different areas of the bank. You'll work alongside experienced auditors to evaluate internal controls, identify risks, and ensure compliance with regulatory and professional standards. This internship is an excellent opportunity to develop your analytical, communication, and critical-thinking skills while learning how auditing supports the health and integrity of a financial institution.

Key Accountabilities

  • Assist in performing financial, operational, and compliance audits under supervision.

  • Evaluate internal control processes to ensure compliance with established standards.

  • Test transactions, procedures, and systems to assess accuracy and effectiveness.

  • Analyze data to identify potential risks, control gaps, or improvement opportunities.

  • Document audit findings, conclusions, and recommendations in a clear, organized manner.

  • Support the audit team in preparing reports and presenting results to management.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments to understand operations and strengthen controls.

  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives that enhance audit quality and efficiency.

Education & Experience

Required:
  • Current enrollment as an Associate's or Bachelor's degree student (sophomore, junior, or senior standing).

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

  • Interest in accounting, finance, auditing, or risk management.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree student (sophomore, junior, or senior standing).

  • Coursework or exposure to auditing, accounting principles, or business analysis.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
