Full-Time | Senior Leadership Role | Licensed Ph.D.

We are seeking a seasoned Program Director to lead Montefiore/ UBA's Clinical Support Program (CSP) teams in supporting children and families across the Bronx. This program will oversee a team of clinicians who provide assessments and consultations to families referred by our partners at the NYC Administration for Children's Services (ACS) in the Bronx, particularly to determine client needs related to mental health, substance use, and intimate partner violence. This is a unique opportunity for a licensed Ph.D. with deep clinical expertise and proven leadership experience to shape a high-impact program and ensure the highest standards of care.

Montefiore, the University Hospital for Albert Einstein College of Medicine, is nationally recognized for clinical excellence, research, and community partnerships that improve health outcomes across New York City. University Behavioral Associates (UBA), a part of Montefiore, is dedicated to providing innovative, evidence-based behavioral health and child welfare services to support children, families, and communities.

CSP clinical staff will be based at one of the following Bronx locations: 1200 Waters Place, 2100 Bartow Avenue, and 2501 Grand Concourse (with responsibilities at 1775 Grand Concourse) and CSP referral staff will be based at 200 Corporate Boulevard (Yonkers). This position will be expected to travel between locations.

About the Role

As the Program Director, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of multiple CSP teams, guiding Supervisors and clinicians to deliver high-quality, timely, and equitable services. You will be both a strategic leader and a hands-on partner, ensuring the program runs smoothly and adapts to the needs of the communities we serve.

Starting salary is $140,000, plus bonus. Benefits are excellent, including generous time off, 403(b), medical/dental/vision insurance, and more.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Supervision: Provide weekly clinical and administrative supervision to CSP Supervisors and lead monthly all-staff meetings. Provide support for clinical coverage and urgent clinical situations.
  • Program Oversight: Ensure teams are properly staffed and resourced; establish and monitor program goals, benchmarks, and quality assurance processes.
  • Partnership Building: Serve as liaison with ACS field office managers, preventive and foster care providers, and other key stakeholders. Rotate among Bronx borough offices, ensuring visibility, accessibility, and support for staff and stakeholders. Build strong referral pathways and collaborative relationships.
  • Program Development: Create and implement program policies, review workflows, and develop action plans to improve service outcomes.
  • Training & Expertise: Deliver professional trainings to ACS staff and provide expert input at case conferences and review meetings.

What We're Looking For

  • Ph.D. in Clinical or Counseling Psychology & NYS Licensed (preferred) or Masters in Social Work with an LCSW, LMSW, or LMHC License in NYS
  • 5+ years of clinical experience, with several years working with children and families in child welfare or related settings
  • Proven experience managing or supervising clinical teams
  • Exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • A collaborative, mission-driven approach with the ability to navigate complex systems
