Symetra is seeking a Technical Recruiter to join our Talent Acquisition team!

About the role

In this role, you'll own the full-cycle recruitment process for technical positions across engineering, data, and IT. You'll partner with hiring managers to define role requirements, develop and execute sourcing strategies, manage interview logistics, advise on candidate engagement, and oversee the offer and onboarding process. This position is highly strategic, with a focus on attracting top talent and ensuring an exceptional candidate experience.

What you will do



  • Lead the full-cycle recruitment process for technology roles, from intake to offer.


  • Partner with hiring managers to define hiring needs and build targeted sourcing strategies.


  • Source and engage candidates through creative outreach, leveraging tools like GitHub, and AI-driven platforms.


  • Conduct technical and behavioral interviews to assess skills, team fit, and growth potential.


  • Guide hiring teams on interview best practices and candidate experience.


  • Collaborate on recruiting programs (e.g., campus outreach, DEI initiatives, ATS optimization).

Compensation

Salary Range: $70,600 - $117,600 plus eligibility for annual bonus program

Who You Are



  • You have 4+ years of technical recruiting experience.


  • You have a strong understanding of technical roles, programming languages, and industry trends, with the ability to effectively assess a candidate's fit.


  • You have previously evaluated candidates for a range of technical roles and levels.


  • You enjoy the challenge of finding world-class talent for hard-to-fill Software Engineering, Security, and Infrastructure roles.


  • You're comfortable operating as a full-stack recruiter. You're able to manage the entire recruiting process end to end.


  • You act as a true strategic partner with hiring managers, building close relationships and providing expert guidance throughout the recruitment process.


  • You enjoy sourcing for your positions and take pride in nurturing and building relationships with passive talent.


  • Experience using ATS platforms (ADP and/or Eightfold preferred).


  • High school diploma required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
