Overview
As an HVAC Technician, you'll play a vital role in maintaining the comfort and safety of our facilities. You'll perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on a wide range of HVAC systems, including rooftop units, chillers, heat pumps, and more. If you have a strong background in HVAC repairs and maintenance, excellent problem-solving skills, and can work effectively both independently and as part of a team, we'd love to hear from you! This position, Military Maintenance Specialist III - Limited Service (Job Requisition #53439), is open to all State employees and external applicants. It is a Limited Service position, which is non-tenured and authorized for a specific period of time. Limited Service positions are established for specially funded projects or programs. Environmental Factors
Work is performed at military facilities in VT. An incumbent often works near or with hazardous materials, including ammunition and high voltage. Work requires entering confined spaces, removing snow on runways and exposure to loud noises. An incumbent operates heavy equipment and possession of a Commercial Driver's License is required. An incumbent must be able to climb ladders and lift equipment and materials weighing as much as fifty pounds. Work is performed in all kinds of weather. Some outside of normal working hours may be required. Travel and overnight stay may be included. Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent AND three (3) years or more in Construction or Facilities Maintenance. OR At least one (1) or more years of Military Maintenance Specialist II. Must possess a valid driver's license. Must possess CDL license or complete State approved HVAC course. Preferred Qualifications

Incumbents of this job may be required to have a Department of Defense Common Access Card (CAC) issued, which is issued only upon passing a federal background check (Tier 1) including a fingerprint-supported criminal record check.
