Overview
The Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Financial Administrator I to join our Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable team in Montpelier. This full-time position offers the opportunity to grow your financial management skills while contributing to the success of a fast-paced public service organization. In this role, you will take on a variety of responsibilities that build both technical expertise and leadership potential, including:
You will collaborate with colleagues across state agencies, employees, and outside vendors, gaining valuable experience in relationship management and inter-agency financial operations. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in both accounts receivable and accounts payable, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, strong communication and analytical skills, and the ability to work independently. Experience with VISION (the State's Oracle-based accounting system) and VT Buys (the State's procurement platform) is preferred, but training will be provided. Following training, this position supports a hybrid work schedule, offering flexibility alongside in-office collaboration at our Montpelier location. Who May Apply

Work is performed in a standard office setting. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting, business/office administration. OR Associate's degree in accounting, business/office administration AND two (2) years or more of accounting experience maintaining, reviewing and analyzing financial data and records. OR High School diploma or equivalent AND three (3) years or more of accounting experience maintaining, reviewing and analyzing financial data and records. OR One (1) year or more of experience as a Financial Specialist III with the State of Vermont. Special Requirements
For some positions experience working with the VISION system (VISION is the State of Vermont PeopleSoft financial management system) may be required. Total Compensation
